Kallangur has been around long enough to have layers: 1970s and 80s lowset brick through the older streets, and newer builds filling in the gaps. The older homes are often on the second or third floor of their life, so what is under the carpet is anyone's guess until it comes up — which is exactly why we look before we quote.
Most jobs here are whole-home: hard floor through the living areas and hallway, carpet through the bedrooms. Quoted as one written figure, done in a day or two.
