Hybrid sits between laminate and vinyl and takes the best of both: a rigid core that will not swell if a glass goes over, with a wear layer that handles dog claws and school shoes. In a Queensland summer it moves far less than a floating laminate, which matters in an open-plan house with a lot of west-facing glass.
Narangba filled out through the 2000s, so most of what we see is slab-on-ground with open-plan living and three or four bedrooms.
